Blanket Scarf

Hello All, How are your Holiday plans going? Well Here in Houston we are getting into the 70's as expected. It sure is hard to have a winter wardrobe when the weather is so bi-polar. The blanket scarf has been a trend for past year or so and I do love me a comfy scarf. I own so many scarves but I hardly get to wear them here. This particular scarf was a big hit last winter and I managed to snag me one at the end of last winter. The vibrant colors in this scarf can be paired with so many outfits, but it can be overpowering because of it's size. The best way to style the blanket scarf so that it looks less huge is by folding it into a triangle and then tying the two ends around your neck as pictured below. You can also wear the scarf by draping it over one shoulder to make it look chic or by draping it over both shoulders and belting it to make it a coat. The best part about the blanket scarf is that it truly keeps you warm when you need it and you can easily take it off when you don't ( or if you live in Houston)...

Is it the first day of December already? I'm totally excited about Christmas because it's my favorite Holiday of course. Well temps here in Houston have dropped and we are hoping it stays this way. I know I'm always talking about the weather but I get totally jealous of blogger who can show cozy sweaters and scarves. It just doesn't feel like December until the temp drops and you can put the fire place on and cuddle with your loved ones.. But here in Texas we have to pretend this is the case. This only means I can show you pieces that can be utilized in more seasons then one. This Blazer is light weight enough for warm weather yet cool enough to put over a great dress or blouse. This Jacket is perfect for the Holiday parties to come this month and when it gets too cold that's okay just pair it with a nice sweater or wait for the temp to warm up a bit.. Hello All... Hope your Thanksgiving went well... Now that I'm out of my food coma I'm back at it... Did you shop the infamous Black Friday???  I didn't post any Black Friday deals this year and I'm going to tell you why... First off.. Black Friday named after Store sales being " in the Black" meaning they are making Profit... is a marketing tool used to bait in shoppers thinking they are getting a good deal.. But you knew that didn't you?? Well Black Friday actually is not the only day stores have low prices, you might be keen to find a great discounts on other days such as Cyber Monday or the weekend before Christmas. It's all up to the shopper to find a great deal but I don't think a great deal should rush you out to the store on a day we are supposed to give Thanks... Just my thoughts.. I did some shopping online and found great deals at Express.com. Express has 50% of everything Tuesday thru Saturday... They will even have 50% off on Cyber Monday as well... SO you catch my drift... A great deal will always be around the corner.... Like this Forever 21 dress... Great Quality and only $22.90... Now that's what I call a Chic Deal... Striped ribbed dresses are a great way to keep warm in the fall and in the winter. Just pair with tights and a nice jacket and you can go out on the town without worry...

Colder weather is approaching Houston... You can feel the difference of temperatures in the air and it feels wonderful. It's not exactly crazy cold but it will do for now. This Batwing sleeve sweater is a favorite from last fall but I decided to show it again because Zara has a new version of it in stores now. This sweater is super soft and is so cuddly. I can wear it all day and it feels so good on and looks so stylish. I paired it with white jeans because I love white in every season.
