Rainy Day Blues

Houston had up to 11 inches of rain this past weekend Thanks to Hurricane Patricia... SO you can imagine the weekend was well spent inside the comfort of my home.. But I did get out onto my backyard to show you guys a nice Rainy day outfit... This is my go to outfit for day like this 1. because it's effortless and 2. because it involves my Hunter rain boots... These rain boots have been one of my best buys due to them being so stylish and they do come in handy...!! I Promise!!! haha... And I'll let you in on a secret My boots are Children's size 4... haha which fit US size 6 perfectly... and are half the price of the adult boot... Yes Half the PRICE!!! $80 US dollars to be exact while the adult sizes are $160.... Geez... So If you can fit them I'd suggest to get the children's size and save the money... I was also excited to receive my second Rocksbox in the mail this weekend... It included this Loren Hope statement necklace that just took my Rainy day Blues away... And well it happens to be a light baby blue and it's so perfect.. I mean if you don't have a Loren Hope piece you need one because the quality of this jewelry is so worth the price... It will be an investment you won't regret....

Mixing Textures

When mixing textures you want to start off with one key piece that makes a statement on its own; such as the chiffon fringe mini skirt I picked... Then add a simpler piece to it that you wouldn't normally wear with the first piece; usually a different fabric... Together they make a bold texture combo... Add cute booties to go along with the mini skirt and you're ready to take over the world...haha

Pretty Little Romper

It's Still pretty warm here in Houston... So wearing sweaters and nice scarves is out of the question. Although I love to show you cute Fall looks most are not even wearable at this time. So This Romper helps to beat the heat because it's thin and breathable. My vest adds that little fall look to it and is also very light. I paired it with brown open-toe mules but a nice pair of booties will work just fine. In fact I'm Keeping my eye on the Sam Edelman 'Louie' Booties I listed below....Must Have...!

I've seen the faux suede mini skirt in literally every store and every blogger's page. It's a 70's style that we can't seem to live without and WHY?? Cause it's so style and chic... Haha... I didn't want to recreate a look that everyone else is doing so I opted for a faux suede dress and topped it off with a nice scarf for a fall look. I love the way the pops of pink brings out the brown dress.... and guess what My whole outfit is from Marshalls...Which is code for it was affordable...

I tend to wear skinny jeans due to me being so short but I found the best flared Jeans from Express and let me tell you they will change your life.... I paired these jeans with a cami and light jacket for more of a fall look. To take this look to the next level you could put a small belt around the jacket; in fact this would help to make the shorter girl look tall and lean.

Hello All, This is my first blog post for Sweet Texas Fashion... Welcome Y'ALL!

Around this time in Texas we are still experiencing a lot of hot weather. SOOO for the Texas girl it can be hard to find a fashionable Fall outfit that won't cause us to be over heated... Haha.... Well for this fall I've chosen to wear plenty of dresses with a boot or booties... making sure that my attire has more of a fall color theme and feel...
